Our workshop has been busy just with orders from the last few weeks from when the website has been running.
Streamlining the process has been working well and now with extra duties, their have been more hands to make sure orders run smoothly.
From the start of the painting process, our artist handles each peg dolls about 10 times before it is completed.
Checking for imperfections, sanding, dusting, base coat, skin tone, main colour, patterns, extra colours, head (hair and eyes), final touch ups, mod podge... As they are also individually hand painted, it is also a repetitive process as cultures are painted all at one time from smallest to biggest. Each doll is different and concentration is at its highest form.
We are looking also to customise some families and cultural groups. We will soon be asking for expressions of interest Soon.
